Posted by Jessica Walton on 11th Nov 2016

This Bark Christmas Arrangement was made using our artificial flowers and thanks to the versatility of the bark stand it can be rearranged to your hearts content. You could even use fresh flowers!.

Everything you need:

X1 Oasis Round Bowl 25 cm Clear

X2 Dried Cork Stoned Washed White 10 x 10 cm

Dried Bark Bundle 20 cm 20 Pieces

Bundle Poplar Bark 50 cm

Eurosand Glass Chunks Apple Green 4 10 mm 550 ml

Snowy spruce branch (find in store)

Red sabulosum cones (find in store)

Test Tubes Clear Acrylic (find in store)

Christmas Cyclamen Glittered Bush Red (find in store)

Mistletoe Willow (find in store)

Step One

For this festive arrangement you first need to take your Oasis round bowl and cover it in Dried Cork. This can look as jumbled or as clean as you like.

Step Two

Now you need to build up the bark stand. To do this you should start by clustering your dried cork at different lengths to simulate natural patterns. secure them using a glue gun, add some acrylic test tubes into the gaps (for fresh flowers) and continue to build up the design. Once the bark stand has reached a satisfactory circumference insert three legs using dried bark and secure using a glue gun.

Step Three

Now that the stand is finished it's time to decorate the bark with silks. Start by trimming some mistletoe into smaller pieces and wedge them into the top of the display.

Step Four

Cut some red glittered cyclamen and decorate the the top of the stand.

Step Five

Now add some more texture to the sides of the stand by cutting some smaller branches off of the spruce branch and wedge them in between the pieces of bark. Allow them to trail off and wind around the stand.

Step Six

Add some berries and red pine cones along the rim of the stand for detail. Again, wedge these in between the bark pieces.

Step Seven

Fill your clear bowl with green stones and add some silks to finish the piece.

Now stand the display in the bowl and you're done.

This truly adds a creative twist on conventional christmas displays. Changing this arrangement throughout the seasons means that it will last all year through.
