How-To: Origami Corner Bookmarks

Posted by Danielle Golding on 27th Jul 2018

These Origami Bookmarks are super easy to make and having a lovely bookmark will hopefully motivate adults and children to read a book this summer. You can be as imaginative as you like with your design. You could create your favorite characters or leave it plain, the possibilities are endless.

What you will need:

Scissors

Coloured Card

Ruler

Glue

Pencil

Decorative accessories

Step One:

Start by cutting out a 7x7 inch square from your paper.

Step Two:

Fold the piece of paper in half to make a triangle.

Step Three:

Take the top layer and fold this down to the bottom of the triangle, you will see a square shape form inside of the triangle.

Step Four:

Bring both the left and right corner to the center and make sure the fold is super crisp. You should now have a square shape.

Step Five:

Tuck the top of the triangle into the pocket that has been formed.

That's it! Now that the basic structure of the book mark is finished you have the option to use it as it is or decorate it. Trust me once you make one of these cute bookmarks your house will end up full of them.
