Make It Monday: Festive Garland

We love Christmas here at Country Baskets and are now truly getting into the swing of the festive season. Have a go at making this festive garland using our seasonal and dried products.

Everything you need:
Artificial Frosted Garland Green
Bag of 10 Dried Lotus Heads
Pack of 50 Dried Natural Cinnamon Bundles
Pack of 25 Maritima Pine Cones 14-18cm
Dried Yellow Grapefruit 200 g
Dried Orange Slices 250 g
Dried Whole Oranges 250 g
Wire Reel Binding 0.56mm

Step One
Begin this design by wiring some dried lotus heads into the garland. Using florists wire, pierce the bottom of the lotus head and pull through the other side. Twist the wire around the garland to secure.

Step Two
Cluster together three sticks of cinnamon using red wire and attach to the garland using florists wire.

Step Three
Add some pine cones to the garland by threading wire through the pine cones scales, twist it and then wrap it to the garland.

Step Four
Now add some colour to the garland. Start by threading wire through dried fruit and then tie to the garland.

Step Five
Add some more dried fruit for more colour variation; using the same technique as above.

Step Six
To finish the design hang the garland and Tie some large bows using Christmas ribbon and attach to the garland using wire.

Step Seven
Add some more colour by clipping on some poinsettia clips.

A classic decoration for any house at Christmas.
